Grace looked absolutely regal in her long-sleeved silk and lace dress with full skirt. The dress also set the trend for a resurgence in fuller style wedding dresses. This Marchesa dress is just magical. Made from more than 100 yards of draped silk organza and tulle petals, this dress was on a scale of epic proportions! I love the contrast of the demure long-sleeved lace bodice against the frou-frou and frivolity of the skirt. Always ahead of the fashion pack, Nicole certainly outdid herself with this number.

Unfortunately, it is obvious that this dress has dated. In a big way. But what makes this dress so amazing is the sheer scale of it all. The dress, designed by David and Elizabeth Emanuel, featured a 25 foot train and an equally long veil! What I love most about this amazing celebrity wedding dress, which Elizabeth Taylor wore to her first marriage to Richard Burton, is the gorgeous daffodil yellow colour of the dress. Elizabeth looked resplendent in this empire-style chiffon dress. I also love the crown of flowers – lilies of the valley and white hyacinths – that adorned her hair.
