It's probably not hard to see why he tops my list of 80s actors who are still hot. I thought Patrick Dempsey was cute in “In The Mood” and “Loverboy”, but the scruffy look he sports now goes really well with the friendliness and dark blue scrubs you see you see him in on "Grey's Anatomy". Also, he's one of the few men who has juuuust the right amount of chest hair. To see what I'm talking about, the first item is a not-safe-for-work look at some choice scenes from various movies. It goes on a bit long, but what you see at :25, 2:12 and 2:49 makes it all worth it.

If the scratchiness is any indication, the videotape of “Pretty In Pink” I had in ninth grade got a little too much play. Can you blame me? Between his Blaine and Jon Cryer's Duckie, the movie gave a double dose of the goofy-but-sweet guys we all love. All these years later, he still looks pretty much the same, gorgeous hair and all. One piece of trivia-much of the movie "Weekend at Bernie's" was filmed within one hour of my house growing up.

Again, the hair. I mostly saw him on “Full House” as Uncle Jesse, but he's done a lot of other TV and movie work since then. For instance, he did a short stint on “Glee” as a dentist who fell in love with the guidance counselor. Personally I think it's nuts that Emma never, um, consummated things with him, but that's a discussion for another post.. According to IMDb, he was also the touring drummer for The Beach Boys! I'm not a huge fan, but the fact that he is so multi-talented makes him all the more appealing. Moving on-

I had a massive crush on Michael J. Fox when I was a kid. While he does have more lines on his face than before (activism can do that to you), he looks exactly the same now as he did then. He's probably best known today for his activism regarding Parkinson's disease, which just makes him even more appealing; I know he has Parkinson's himself, but instead of staying at home and feeling sorry for himself (as I probably would), he's out there raising awareness and money to help cure this very debilitating disease. I dated a John Cusack look-alike in college. Seeing him re-enact the boom box scene in “Say Anything” for me for Valentine's Day was one of the most romantic things I'd ever had a guy do for me. The relationship didn't work out, but it's still fun to look back and pretend that it actually *was* John Cusack serenading me. Attention from a hottie like this is never unwelcome.

You've probably seen him more on Direct TV commercials than anything else, but that's okay because we get to see a more comedic side to him than we might have seen on those After-School Specials. He insists he hasn't had plastic surgery-that he looks just as good in "The West Wing" as he did in "The Outsiders" because of good genes and a healthy lifestyle. Whatever he did, it's working. He'd probably be featured in People Magazine's "Sexiest Geezers Alive.” know that's not a real thing, but it could be. Speaking of which-

Yes, I know the title says actors in *the* 80s, not *their* 80s. Even so, no “perpetually-hot actor” list would be complete without Sean Connery. To quote Goldie Hawn in “First Wives' Club”-”Sean Connery is Monique's boyfriend...he's 300 years old but he's still a stud!” It's true. Personally I think he looks better now than he did when he was Bond. Judging by the conversations I've had, I'm not alone.

I know I haven't mentioned *all* the actors from the 80s who still look good, but there are only so many hours in the day. Who have I missed? Discuss!
