Once in a while, you come across a concept so unique and brilliant and an execution so flawless, that you can't help but applaud the creativity behind it! For their 2011 Fall Lookbook, Christian Louboutin collaborated with photographer Peter Lipmann to give iconic paintings like Arrangement in Grey and Black: The Artist's Mother, Marie-Guillemine Benoist's Portrait d'une Negresse, Renaissance artist Francois Clouet's Elizabeth of Austria, Georges de la Tour’s “Magdalene and the Flame”, a touch of Louboutin!
These paintings were literally transformed such that Whistler's mother ended up with a "Tootsie" ankle boot, Elizabeth with a 'Catalina' sequinned clutch bag and a golden spiked 'Pigalilli' platform, Marie-Guillemine Benoist's Portrait d'une Negresse with a "Balda booty", so on and so forth.
