# Christian Louboutin Fall 2011 Lookbook ...

Once in a while, you come across a concept so unique and brilliant and an execution so flawless, that you can't help but applaud the creativity behind it! For their **2011 Fall Lookbook**, Christian Louboutin collaborated with photographer Peter Lipmann to give iconic paintings like Arrangement in Grey and Black: The Artist's Mother, Marie-Guillemine Benoist's Portrait d'une Negresse, Renaissance artist Francois Clouet's Elizabeth of Austria, Georges de la Tour’s “Magdalene and the Flame”, a touch of Louboutin!

These paintings were literally transformed such that Whistler's mother ended up with a "Tootsie" ankle boot, Elizabeth with a 'Catalina' sequinned clutch bag and a golden spiked 'Pigalilli' platform, Marie-Guillemine Benoist's Portrait d'une Negresse with a "Balda booty", so on and so forth. What a unique, inspiring homage! Check out some of my favorite images below:

I know some of you might think these are too photoshopped but without it, I don't think it would have ended up being as "painting-esque". Now tell me, isn't the Christian Louboutin Fall 2011 Lookbook simply spectacular?
