Michael Douglas Back to Work...

Michael Douglas is preparing for his next big film despite his recent health setbacks.

The dashing veteran tells People "I feel stronger every day", just a few days after his recent eight-week treatment for throat cancer. "But it's a long road back".

Douglas will be playing the title role in Liberace, working with his director from Traffic Steven Soderbergh. The shooting for the film though does not start for the next 6-7 months, which should give him some time to recover. He also needs to get a little musical training for his role by then.

"I've got a bunch of tapes of performances," he says. "I'm thinking; I'm a blank slate. Everything shows me he was a lovely man; I just want to reconfirm that."

He's looking healthier already and here's hoping that he recovers well.
