Fan-Favorite Fictional Couples Who Dated off-Screen Too ...

Teresa

Whenever I find a fictional couple that I love, I can’t help but look into whether or not they fall under the category of “fictional couples who dated off screen.” I always think you can tell, based on their chemistry, if most fictional couples were together off screen too. Although some of the fictional couples ended up married to each other with kids, some only dated very briefly, so you may have never even heard about it! Some of these couples won’t be much a surprise, but a lot of these fictional couples who dated off screen too might be a little bit of a shock!

Alexis Bledel and Milo Ventimiglia

Alexis Bledel and Milo Ventimiglia If you were on Team Jess over the course of Gilmore Girls’s seven seasons, you will be happy to hear that Rory and Jess actually dated in real life for a few years. A lot of people believe that that’s why Rory and Jess worked so well on screen despite the fact that their characters seemed so different - because they had such great chemistry off screen. Rory and Jess are personally one of my favorite couples from Gilmore GIrls, so learning they actually were one of the fictional couples who dated off screen too was so exciting!

UPD:

Alexis Bledel and Milo Ventimiglia, who played the characters of Rory and Jess on the hit show Gilmore Girls, were one of the many fan-favorite fictional couples who actually dated off-screen too. Although their characters seemed to have very different personalities, their real-life chemistry was undeniable.

The couple started dating in 2002 and went on to have a three-year relationship. During this time, the show was in its fourth season and their off-screen relationship seemed to influence the way they interacted on-screen. Fans of the show could see the chemistry between the two characters and it was clear that Rory and Jess were meant to be together.

Unfortunately, the couple split in 2006, but their relationship had already made an impact on fans of the show. Even after their breakup, fans still held out hope that Rory and Jess would get back together and their love story would have a happy ending.

Mindy Kaling and BJ Novak

Mindy Kaling and BJ Novak Okay, so maybe you loved Jim and Pam a little more than Ryan and Kelly on The Office, but regardless of that, Ryan and Kelly were one of the most important couples throughout the show’s nine season run. Not only were they completely ridiculous, but their on screen relationship was inspired by their off-screen relationship in the writers’ room. In fact, it’s one that continues today! Mindy and BJ both call each other “soup snakes,” and much like Ryan and Kelly, no one actually knows what that means!

Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively

Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively I’m pretty sure everyone loves Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively an infinite amount. In fact, they’re definitely one of Hollywood’s great power couples. You may not remember, though, that they met and fell in love on the set of The Green Lantern!

Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis

Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis Everyone wanted Jackie and Kelso to end up together, including Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis! After Ashton Kutcher ended his marriage to Demi Moore, Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher made fans of That 70s Show really happy when they revealed their relationship, eventual engagement, and baby!

Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone

Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone I won’t remind everyone of the heartbreak that we experienced alongside Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone in the second Spiderman movie. However, don’t be sad for too long, because Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone are still together in real life!

Famous Quotes

Love is like a friendship caught on fire. In the beginning a flame, very pretty, often hot and fierce, but still only light and flickering. As love grows older, our hearts mature and our love becomes as coals, deep-burning and unquenchable.

Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams

Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams While they’re not together anymore, Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams starred in what was arguably the best romantic movie of this century, The Notebook. Although they hated each other while filming, they did eventually start dating, making every fans’ heart happy!

Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens

Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens During the height of High School Musical’s success, all eyes were on Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens. So much so, that eventually their relationship was revealed to be real both on screen and off-screen, much to the joy of all of their fans! Despite the fact that fans didn't see Troy and Gabriella kiss until the end of the second movie, everyone desperately wanted to see them together, both on and off screen, and they were, until they ended it in 2010, a year after the final High School Musical movie was released.
