Choose Not to Be Scandalous

Choose Not to Be Scandalous This is one of the most impacting quotes by Hilary Duff that truly resonated in my heart. I admire celebrities who choose to live a life contrary to the “norm” in our society by not going with the crowd of partygoers and constant rages. Sure, it’s great to have fun and go out with friends, but as Hilary says, it’s embarrassing to show off a scandalous side. It’s also like what Katy Perry said, that everyone has a “sexy” card but it doesn’t always have to be played. A great life lesson is to enjoy life and all of its “normalcy,” because in the end it will save you from a lot of heartache, pain, and regret in the future.

I’m Not Perfect

I’m Not Perfect Well said, Hilary, well said. Although it’s at times a difficult concept to take in, you are not perfect, I’m not perfect… nobody is perfect. Our culture can often times peer pressure us or brainwash us into believing that everything needs to be perfect in your life in order to live happily ever after. Why? The greatest discoveries and self-discoveries are often found through trial and error. Enjoy life’s crazy, happy, sad, confusing, beautiful, and strange ups and downs because they lead to you to be exactly where you need to be.

3

Mom Says…

Mom Says… “My mom always says, 'If you don't believe in something, you'll lose yourself completely.’” Mothers are always right, aren’t they? God bless them. Hilary’s mom surely knows exactly what to say because this particular quote can definitely teach a great life lesson: believe! Without a strong belief in something, there is no passion and there is no drive. The most successful people in the world have shown us that to be successful and to be happy doing something, you need to believe you can do it.

Don’t Always Look at Your Busy Schedule

Don’t Always Look at Your Busy Schedule How many times have you checked your planner today? How many times have you tried crossing off all the “to-dos” in your tasks app on your phone? I’m willing to argue that you have not put your phone down for more than an hour today, am I right? Well, Hilary makes a very valid point: it’s healthy to take a break from constantly obsessing over a busy schedule all the time. It’s overwhelming and exhausting to always be busy and check to see just how busy you are all the time! Accept that there will be projects and things on your to-do list that will not be crossed off immediately, and come to terms that you don’t always need to stress yourself out!

Not Worth Getting Upset

Not Worth Getting Upset This quote is another personal favorite! I truly admire Hilary for standing up against the bad press and not allowing it to negatively impact her. Have you ever let a rumor upset you? Do you allow other people’s opinions of you drive your view of yourself? It’s not worth getting upset over other people’s gossip. There are only 24 hours in a day and it’s 100% up to you how you choose to spend those hours. If you allow negativity to consume you, you will be miserable and use valuable energy towards feeling worthless and angry. It’s not worth your time to get upset.

Life Should Be Judgment Free

Life Should Be Judgment Free Amen, girl! This is another powerful quote that teaches us a great life lesson: life should be judgment free! What difference does it make how you express yourself or what things you’re passionate about? Your life is a beautiful expression of your own individuality and creation. I believe that life’s true purpose is to love and be loved. As long as that’s the main focus in life, it doesn’t matter how it’s expressed or done, as long as it’s done.

Don’t Let Body Image Control You

Don’t Let Body Image Control You Believe me when I say that it’s not worth it to stress or fixate on body image, ladies. I had an eating disorder when I was younger and I was a twig – it’s not attractive and it’s not worth it. Granted, my “reasoning” for having the eating disorder was very rare and complicated (I can explain my story to those who wish to hear it), but I had one nonetheless. For those of you who are dealing with a body image issue or an eating disorder, please do not allow the media or a friend or a boyfriend scam you into thinking that you need to lose weight to be pretty or that you need to be a size 0 to be happy in life. It’s not true, they are all lies. The truth is that it’s actually NOT pretty to be that skinny and it’s NOT satisfying to live a life in constant battle with your body. Embrace and love your curves and fall in love with yourself as you are! If you can love yourself first, others will love you as you love you.

Hilary Duff is such an inspiration and wonderful role model. Through her shows, her movies, her music, her books, and now her new family I am so proud and happy to see how far she’s come and how she has chosen to positively impact the world. Which quote taught you the most important life lesson?

She's beautiful

Correction:- Be true to yourself, trust yourself, believe in yourself, & then love yourself ...

Hilary is one of the greatest role models out there for young girls! I've loved her since Lizzie McGuire and she's still my #1!

amazing 😍👏

I completely agree with Hilary. Be true to yourself, trust yourself, love yourself & then love yourself so that you will never be alone, whether you are by yourself or in a crowd of friends, family &/or strangers, who are friends that you just haven't met yet. This way, no matter who or what conflicts you come up against each & every day you will be able to meet &, no matter the outcome, you will be able to walk away from it confident that you did your best & stronger because of it. Never give up on yourself & hope for the best for everyone, then you will be able to see the good in all people & things.

there is nothing wrong with being skinny, I'm naturally skinny, so what Hilary said sis a insult to all the skinny Hilary fans!

agree

I like this post. However, at every post the sentences are not completed. This is quite disturbing. Certainly, i am not the only one dealing with this. Is there a solution, it's quite annoying and i am not able to get the most out of the posts anymore due to the fact that the sentences are not finished

I really respect Hilary, she's a wonderful woman ☺️ and she's smart!

love her!
