# The Magical Journey across Middle Earth Continues ...

Rejoice my fellow LOTR fans, for once again the powers that be have showered upon us the blessing in the form of Peter Jackson! Shooting for the highly awaited (and for some of us, highly overdue) prequel to the Lord Of The Rings - The Hobbit - will finally begin in February if all goes to plan, with Jackson donning the director's hat once again.

The best-selling book will be made into a two-part movie, filmed in 3D. The sets for the movie are reportedly underway already in New Zealand, but the matter of some union disputes is yet to be resolved.

"Exploring Tolkien's Middle-earth goes way beyond a normal film making experience," Jackson said. "It's an all-immersive journey into a very special place of imagination, beauty and drama"

Ian McKellen will surely be there to guide his dear hobbit friend as Gandalf the Grey. However, no actor has yet been finalized for the title role, that of Bilbo Baggins. One of the top contenders reported for the role is Martin Freeman - known for his roles in The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, The Office (the original series) and more recently Sherlock.

I don't know about the rest of you, but this is definitely something that I am more than eagerly waiting for!
