One thing’s for sure, the Victoria’s Secret girls are all drop dead gorgeous. Thanks to shows like America’s Top Model, we’ve been shown the more human side of supermodels and modeling in general. What I’ve always loved about the VS Angels, as they call them, is that after watching every Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show each year, I feel empowered by these women! Dreams do Come True
What I love about the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show is that it’s literally a show, and the Victoria’s Secret girls never fail to impress us. Each year we get to learn a little bit more about these girls, and how they went from being just a little girl sitting on the beach to a bona fide supermodel. Each year, the message is the same: your dreams can come true! It takes a mixture of hard work, dedication, and a little bit of luck, but if you work at something hard enough, there’s no reason why you won’t be able to reach your dream! If the Victoria’s Secret girls can do it, so can you!
Hard Work Pays off
One of my favourite Victoria’s Secret girls is Adriana Lima. She’s gorgeous, adorable, and she could probably kick my ass. Described by her fellow Angels as a warrior, this girl is not afraid of a little hard work. She goes to the gym a total of 6 hours a day, 3 hours in the morning, 3 hours at night, and trains constantly with a former pro boxer who has helped her turn into some kind of a kickboxing machine. Seriously, it’s inspiring to watch, and watching her hit the gym will seriously motivate you to go too!
Confidence is Key
One of the most common things you’ll hear any of the Victoria’s Secret girls say before a show is just how nervous they are. But honestly, looking at them strut their stuff on the runway, you’d never be able to tell! The second they step out there and the light hits them, they turn into the supermodels the world knows them as. One of the most important things we can learn from them is just how important confidence is. This is for every aspect of your life. People are attracted to the ones that know what they want and are happy in their own skin, so channel your inner supermodel and let the confidence shine through!
Let Your Personality Shine through
The people behind this show always have one key thing they look for in a new Victoria’s Secret girl – personality. Not only does it give the show more spunk, but it shows us the real people behind those super long legs! Your personality is what makes you, you! There are tons of girls out there that are gorgeous, tall, and look great in lingerie, but not every girl out there is spunky like Cara, or has the cool-girl-nerd-like tendencies of Erin. There are very few Tyras and Giseles out there, because not only are those women beautiful, but they’re not afraid to let their personality shine through! So go ahead and be the gorgeous you, quirks and all!
Be Classy, Not Trashy
What makes the Victoria’s Secret girls different is they somehow always manage to be sexy, not slutty, and classy, not trashy. I don’t know how they do it, but it’s honestly quite inspiring! It’s in the way they carry themselves, they’re confident, always smiling, and never too over the top. You’ll never catch yourself watching them walk down the runway and cringing to yourself! So let that be an inspiration to you, not just in the way you dress, but in every other aspect of your life. Don’t play dirty!
