Brangelina Finally Make It Official ...

Lyndsie Aug 29, 2014

After nine years and six children, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt have finally made it official! Long and largely considered the golden couple of Hollywood, the two have been together since 2005 (probably), where rumors swirled about a probable affair during the filming of Mr. & Mrs. Smith. Both have, of course, been married before, but since getting together, they've each seemed incredibly happy. In spite of tabloid propaganda and a seeming obsession with the idea of Brad getting back together with Jennifer Aniston, their devotion to each other has never appeared to waver.

Though they've been engaged for a few years now, the two once swore that they wouldn't get married until everyone enjoyed marriage equality – a truly thoughtful gesture, I'm sure you'll agree. Given the monumental steps in that direction and the obvious happiness they bring each other, I'm sure no one can really be mad at them for tying the knot. I'm definitely not!

They had a largely secret ceremony at France's Chateau Miraval on August 23. All six children played a part in their parents' wedding: Maddox and Pax walked Angelina down the aisle; Zahara and Vivienne threw flower petals; and Shiloh and Knox were the ring-bearers. I know that having their lovely family involved made the ceremony even more special. Of course, it wouldn't be a Brangelina wedding without a little controversy, right? Notably, Jon Voight, Angelina's dad – with whom she has a rather rocky relationship – found out about the nuptials just like the rest of us: on the internet.

Are you happy for the couple?
