1. Angelina Jolie
Angelina tends to stick to her trademark red lips and black eyes – but she still manages to rock different looks, nad was one of my favorite celebrity makeovers in 2012. How? Well, her hairdresser seems to have a lot to do with it. Last year she rocked her loose-and-tousled look, an understated brushed-back style and a sleek up-do, all with her trademark make-up. She’s a real hair chameleon – without ever touching the dye. We like.
2. Rooney Mara
Rooney made a name for herself in films last year, and she kept people talking with two different-but-similar looks at the Globes and the Oscars. Although both of her outfits included thick lashes and sleek hairstyles, she opted for a dramatic low-cut black dress, pale pink lips and side-parting for one, whilst her ice-white cut-out gown teamed with bangs and red lips stole the other.

3. Michelle Williams
I love Michelle Williams’s signature pixie haircut – she makes it look so elegant! The Best Actress nominee mixed things up by adding an embellished headband at the Golden Globes, worn with a high-neck purple lace dress, but it was her Oscars look that everyone loved. A vibrant orange strapless dress teamed with pink lips and scruffy blonde locks was the perfect look, and miles apart from her simple SAGS outfit. Gorgeous.
4. Cameron Diaz
Cameron caused shockwaves around the fashion world when she debuted her white-blonde bob in 2012, but she chose well! The cold color lights up her skin, and the cut is perfect for showing off her toned face. Tousled, it’s the perfect party hair, and Cameron showed off a more glamorous style while presenting the Oscars by sleeking it down and adding pink gloss. This is the ultimate versatile hairstyle.
5. Octavia Spencer
Octavia stuck to her winning combination at awards shows this year, continuing to wear Tadashi Shoji outfits, and wearing her hair in the same gorgeous sweep. She did mix up her parting, though, and sweeping hair back into a high up-do at the Globes. She also mixed up her make-up, opting for bright purple, shimmering gray and smoky brown looks respectively. Octavia is great eye make-up inspiration!

6. Berenice Bejo
Berenice might not of won Best Supporting Actress, but she definitely won in the style stakes. This year started with a brunette chignon at the Golden Globes, before Berenice went for a firey red romantic style at the SAGS. Her Oscars look was my favorite, though, with Berenice’s gingery hair plaited back to show off dramatic emerald earrings. Gorgeous.
7. Emma Stone
Need sophisticated yet stylish make-up ideas? Look no further than Emma Stone. While Revlon’s brand ambassador might stick to her winning side-parting hair style, she’s rocked every look from dramatic pink cat eyes with pink lips at the Academy awards to fuschia lips and black liner at the Golden Globes, and a smoky look with frosty pink lips at the Oscars. I’ll definitely be stealing some of her looks…
8. Stacy Keibler and Natalie Portman
Stacy and Natalie showed the other celebs how long hair should be worn throughout the year, with Stacy’s honey hair being worn in soft waves, roughly clipped back and tousled, and in a chic up-do at various shows. It’s no wonder she’s got George Clooney hooked! Natalie oozed glamour with her shiny brunette hair in a bun, but it’s her side-parted Oscars look that I couldn’t resist copying. Thick lashes, a 1954 Valentino gown and that diamond necklace made her hair stand out, and is a definite winner for big events.
Which are your best celebrity makeovers? I can’t choose – but between the hairstyles, make-up and outfits, there is a whole load of style inspiration for 2013 right here, and I can’t wait to get wearing my favorites. Let me know if I missed someone, too!
