A Wide Ranging Soul Train Awards ...

The Soul Train Awards aired tonight and it was Usher and Alicia Keys that ran away with the top honors for the night.

Having been taped earlier on the 10th of November, the show was hosted by Taraji P. Henson and Terrence Howard for the second year in a row.

Both Usher and Alicia Keys, won two awards each though neither of them was present to accept them. Alicia won the Best Female R&B Soul Artist and a songwriting nod for Record of the Year while Usher was awarded the Best Album of the Year and tied with Trey Songz for Best Male R&B Soul Artist.

Several other winners like Ciara, Eminem and Rihanna were not present either to collect their awards.

Baker and Ron Isley were honored with the Soul Train 'Legends' award. Various artists including Goaperle, Chrisette Michelle, Tamia and Faith Evans sang a tribute to Baker while Jeffrey Osborne, Freddy Jackson, Peabo Bryson among others sang a homage for Ron Isley.

• Best Gospel Performance Male Female or Group: Marvin Sapp
• Best Dance Performance: Ciara, "Ride"
• Best Female R&B Soul Artist : Alicia Keys
• Best Male R&B Soul Artist: Trey Songz and Usher (Tie)
• Album of the Year: Usher, Raymond vs. Raymond
• Record of the Year : Alicia Keys, "Unthinkable (I'm Ready)", Songwriters: Alicia Keys, Aubrey Graham, Brothers, Noah "40″ Shebib
