1. She’s in a Band

There are many interesting facts about Zooey Deschanel. The first that I will address is that she’s in a band called She & Him. She & Him is an indie duo comprised of Zooey and Mathew Ward. Zooey is a singer, songwriter, and can play a multitude of instruments (like piano, guitar, and ukulele). I highly recommend this band. 2. She Rescues Dogs

3. She’s Been a Red Head, Blonde, and Brunette

Zooey isn’t afraid to change up her look. She was a red head in The Offspring’s "She’s Got Issues" music video. The music video is noted as being one of her first official acting credits. 6. She’s from a Family of Actors, Cinematographers and Directors

Did you know that Zooey was born into a family of actors, cinematographers and directors? It’s true! Her father is cinematographer and director Caleb Deschanel. Caleb has worked as a cinematographer and director for a number of award-winning films. Mary Jo Deschanel, Zooey’s mother, is an actress. She has played various minor and supporting roles in films and television series. Zooey’s older sister, named Emily Deschanel, is also an actress. She is recognized most for her starring role in Fox’s popular television series "Bones." What a talented family!

7. She’s into Nail Art
