David Cook loves the environment and he knows how to keep it clean.

Speaking to E! News, Cook revealed that he is a 'recycling nut' and that he barely has to throw anything.

"I'm a recycling nut," the American Idol winner from Season 7 said. "I don't think I have trash cans anymore-just recycling bins.

"I try to be as green as possible across the board, but especially with recycling in my house," he continued. "Paper, plastic, magazines-I recycle everything."

The green star recently revealed his plans for his second album which should hit the shelves on June 28.
