There are so many fantastic reasons to look up to Lauren Conrad. She's gone from reality TV to running her own empire and there's something very inspiring and admirable about that. Working hard is the key to success and L.C is definitely proof of that. Check out some of the cool reasons to look up to Lauren Conrad:
When people think of Lauren Conrad, they think of her passion for fashion. Lauren's clothing lines Paper Crown and LC Lauren Conrad for Kohl's are incredibly popular and rightly so. I love the fact that instead of going with a high-end boutique, which she could have easily done, she opted to go with Kohl's and make her line affordable for everyone. Her years as an intern and loving what she does has definitely paid off and just goes to prove that you can't give up on your dreams! This is just one of the many reasons to look up to Lauren Conrad.
Lauren's never been the party-girl type. She's always been really classy and mindful in her decisions. So, she's the go-to person whenever her friends need a little advice.
Lauren actually got away with writing a tell-all under the guise of fiction. Her "L.A Candy" series is probably one of my favorite series around. I couldn't put them down! I had no clue that Lauren was such a talented writer but when you think about her and all she's done, it's not at all surprising that she'd excel in being an author as well.
Lauren's work ethic is definitely one to admire. She had to work as a fashion intern for a long before ever getting anywhere. Of course, not many interns had camera crews following them around. "Having a few internships under your belt before making any major career decisions is crucial. I cannot stress that enough," she has said. All the experience she gathered definitely helped her become successful in her own right!
Did you know that on top of all thing L.C does, she also runs her own company. Lauren and her friend Hannah Skvarla founded a cool company called The Little Market which features designs and goods of talented female artisans across the globe. You can shop it all on thelittlemarket.com. As their mission statement, the company says, "We view The Little Market as a place where a global community can come together to combat poverty, empower communities, and create social justice."
Even though Lauren found fame on a reality show, she didn't choose to use her celebrity to further her career. She strayed away from the TV life because she says it didn't help her reputation very much. "It was difficult to be taken seriously," she said. "But I think the fact that I went to school to study fashion and worked in the industry helped me. I think it’s a good thing to feel like you have to prove something, because you’re always going to have to work a little bit harder." Lauren juggles a lot of different things in her career and to her, "it's really important I enjoy doing all of them."
Lauren's always been very pro-women. She's all about supporting girls and encouraging them. That's how it should be, right? Too often, girls are putting other girls down. Lauren focuses on helping women by answering questions on her web site, creating affordable fashion lines, writing relatable books, writing advice columns like her articles for Forbes on being a female entrepreneur, etc.
Well, there you have it. These are just seven out of many awesome reasons to look up to Lauren Conrad. She's definitely an inspiration to me because she's grown so much and is pretty much running her own empire now. What do you love most about her?
