Chapter One: Tales from The Cosmopolitan...

The place to be this New Year's Eve was Las Vegas. The strip was swarming with celebrities, no matter where you went. One of the hottest spots amongst these places, included the Cosmopolitan Hotel.

Multiple rooms played host to various parties at swanky new resident at the Strip. The night at the private concert featured Jay-Z and Coldplay performing for the A-list celebrities in attendance. The performances also included some surprises in the form of Kanye West, Beyoncé and John Mayer. Though post the concert, is when the party truly started - at the after party at The Cosmopolitan's nightclub Marquee.

The ever-fabulous Blake Lively did not disappoint in her black sparkly mini-dress with her perfectly toned arms. The newly single lady didn't waste her night trying to get cozy with random dudes, but instead she partied the night away with some girlfriends.

A source inside the bash dishes some dirt, "Guys were drooling all over her... instead she hung tight with a few girlfriends she was with, singing along to Rihanna, who gave an impromptu performance at the afterparty."

Also in attendance at the party were Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony, Mark Wahlberg, Jeremy Piven, Kirsten Dunst, Justin Bartha and Ashley Olsen, Jessica Szohr, Gwyneth Paltrow, Cameron Diaz & Alex Rodriguez.

While Cameron and A-Rod were not being shy at all about displaying their feelings for each other, Gwyneth was busy being someone else! The normally aloof/poised actress was dancing and singing along to hubby Chris Martin's performance and even made a quick appearance at the after party.
